Watercolours on Paper
On my first flight of life from India to the UK, the European land beneath me was off-limits. I flew like a bird, yet unlike them, I couldn’t touch down, not today but any other day, Not only that ground, but the sea, was forbidden to me and to many others like me, unless we are given the visa. The visa that encourages borders, boundaries, and systemic discrimination of humans. It’s a paradox that some of us can move freely and others are scrutinised and need permission on the Earth and its land & water that we all share.
