This artwork takes the form of a hand-bound, accordion-fold book, featuring maps of locations that played a significant role in my formative years whilst migrating from Pakistan to India. Each map represents a place I frequented; a space (city and country) that shaped my experiences and personal growth. The irregular, freeform shape of the pages and the book itself reflects the fluidity of identity, rejecting the rigid boundaries that typically define who we are. By breaking away from conventional formats, the piece emphasizes that regional or national identity, much like the places we inhabit, is constantly evolving and cannot be confined to fixed borders, territories, or linear narratives.
