Summers spent at my maternal grandparents’ home are the most cherished memories of my life. The jaali pattern here is taken from the curtains hung on the windows. The pattern on the curtains was a block print of the intricate Mughal architectural jaalis. The drawings on the work are in remembrance of the activities I participated in with my cousins.
